As we age, our skin loses some collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid and becomes less firm. In addition, gravity causes fat pads to drop, especially over the cheek bones. This causes the appearance of larger facial wrinkles and folds such as the nasolabial fold ("parentheses" around the mouth), other lines at the corners of the mouth and deeper circles under the eyes. Dermal fillers replace the volume your skin has lost, bringing back its fullness and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

At Renew Laser Clinic we use two different dermal fillers:

• Juvéderm™ - for use in all areas, lasts one year. (Less swelling and bruising than Restylane, and lasts longer.)
• Radiesse® - for use in all areas except the lips, lasts one year. Gives more volume than other fillers.

The most important factors in having a good experience with filler is the technical expertise of the injector and the way the skin is numbed before injection of the filler. We make all our patients comfortable with the use of topical numbing cream and/or dental blocks with lidocaine. All the injections are done by our doctors who have completed advanced training and have extensive experience with fillers.
